The Quantum BSO team has reason to be proud this month. Firstly, we launched our AI product, yes. While also because it's getting the attention we feel it should!
Maritime Gateway, South Asia's premier maritime business magazine, featured Qavach in its latest issue.
In the ancient Indian language, Sanskrit Qavach means ‘armour’. A shield. A protection, invoked against forces that ordinary means cannot repel. It is, I firmly believe, precisely the right name for what we have set out to build for the port and terminal industry.
The article walks through what I find to be the most important shift happening in port and terminal HSE today: the move from reactive, spreadsheet-driven safety management to genuine, AI-driven prevention.
For decades, terminal HSE has run on manual checklists, siloed databases, and Excel. Incidents get recorded after they happen. Root causes are rarely traced with rigour. And the one intervention that might have prevented the incident in the first place, predictive action, has remained out of reach for many.
Qavach is built to end that era.
Maritime Gateway dives into the architecture in some detail:
• The Unified Incident Number that binds every event into a continuous chain.
• A dramatic shift to Media Processing with AI, eliminating data driven reporting and with the MyQavach, placing reporting in every worker's pocket, in just 11 seconds
• Intelligence with a completely new predictive dashboard, an advanced co-pilot, and "ASK QAI", Quantum BSO's own ChatGPT.
Our thanks to the team at Maritime Gateway for their thoughtful coverage. And to every terminal operator, safety leader, port authority, and partner who has walked this journey with us- this recognition belongs as much to you as it does to us.
